Harry Lewis Paulson, of Eureka, died on Saturday, December 18, 2004, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, in El Dorado, at the age of 90.
He was born on February 7, 1914, in Eureka, the son of Ole Louis Paulson II and Emma Frances (Klogston) Paulson. He was raised in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1932. He worked for Miller’s Department Store until 1960, at which time he and Paul Burke purchased Burke Paulson Clothier. Harry retired in 1984.
On July 22, 1962, Harry was united in marriage to Beulah Lee Dinius in Eureka. They made their home in Eureka. He later served a term on the Eureka City Council as a commissioner. Beulah preceded him in death in 1983.
Harry loved to work with flowers and was an active member of the Odd Fellows, the El Dorado Senior Center, and the Boy Scouts during the time his stepson Raymond was a member.
He is survived by one stepson, Raymond Drake of Wichita; one stepdaughter, Patricia Ray of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one son.
A visitation will be held from 5 – 7 P.M., Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 23, 2004, at Koup Family Funeral Home, Eureka with Mr. Paul Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
