Harold Leroy Stuber of Eureka, died on January 10, 2012, at LakePoint Nursing Center of Augusta at the age of 83.
Harold was born on August 26, 1928, the son of Granville and Rose (Hardy) Stuber. He was raised in the Greenwood County area attending local schools. Harold graduated from Virgil High School and later attended Babson College. He went to work for Boeing working up to supervisor. Harold was proud of his work on the Saturn 5 Project helping the Apollo moon flight. He retired from Boeing in 1989.
On May 17, 1968, Harold was united in marriage to Ruby Devroude in Essington, Pennsylvania.
Harold is survived by his wife, Ruby; children, Dennis (Janice) Stuber of Valley View, Texas; Debra Elder of Wichita; Nancy (Noland) Schubert of Olathe; and Kenneth (Cathy) Stahmer of Augusta; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Avle) Stuber of Andover; and sister, Amy Rogers of Toronto. He was preceded in death by parents and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka with Mr. Jayme A. Koup officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the American Liver Foundation. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
