Greston Tuller McCoy, Sr. of Eureka, died on Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Eureka Nursing Center, at the age of 98.

He was born on July 30, 1913, in Eureka, the son of Roy William and Grace Almeda (Tuller) McCoy. He was raised in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1932. After his schooling he worked at McCellens 5¢ and 10¢ store in Cherryvale from 1942 to 1946. On March 29, 1936, Greston was united in marriage to Marian Lourine Bancroft in Yates Center. He returned to Eureka where he worked as a welder until 1960.

Greston began working for the Army Corps of Engineers as a site inspector and purchasing agent. Marian preceded him in death on January 6, 1981. Greston retired from the corp of engineers in 1983. On November 22, 1982, Greston was united in marriage to Evelyn R. Reno. She preceded him in death on August 4, 1998.

He is survived by two sons, Greston “Pete” McCoy of Alexandria, Indiana; and Alan McCoy of Eureka; one step-son, John Reno of East Lake, Colorado; one step-daughter, Joyce Fong of Ashland, Oregon; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, and one son, Robert Duane McCoy.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery, in Eureka with Mr. Jayme A. Koup officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
