Frank (Ben) Levi Lore Jr., of Eureka, died on May 22, 2010 at Eureka Nursing Center at the age of 89.

Ben was born on October 2, 1920 at Lebo, Kansas on a farm. He was the son of Franklin Levi and Mae Frances (Peters) Lore. He grew up and attended schools in the Lebo and Hartford area. He served his country in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945. Ben also served his country during the Korean Conflict in 1950 and 1951. He moved to Eureka in 1945 and became part owner with his brother-in-law Lloyd Ryther of the Westside Service Station, Café and Motel.

He was a Shriner and a 32nd degree Mason.

In 1949 Ben was united in marriage to Corriene Gray in Bentonville, Arkansas. This marriage later ended in divorce.

Ben is survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all his relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Mr. Jayme Koup officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Memorials have been established in his name to the Rivercross Hospice or VFW #2712. Memorials may be left in care of the funeral home P.O. Box 595, Eureka, Kansas 67045. Koup Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
