Frances Marie Gillis of Eureka, died on Friday, April 6, 2018 at her home in Eureka, at the age of 43.
She was born on October 10, 1974, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Phil and Cynthia (Rhoads) Edwardson. She was raised in Emporia and graduated from local schools. She later attended Johnson County Community College.
In 1997, Frances was united in marriage to Steve Gillis in Las Vegas. They made their home in Blue Springs, Missouri. To this union, one daughter was born. This marriage later ended in divorce. The family later made their home in Eureka.
She is survived by her daughter, Zoë Gillis of Emporia; parents, Phil Edwardson of Emporia; and Cindy Hawkinson of Live Oak, California.
