Florence E. Robinson, of Eureka, died on Wednesday, January 21, 2004, at Medicalodge of Eureka, at the age of 92.
She was born on September 25, 1911, in El Dorado, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Pearl Rose (Boulanger) Davis. She was raised in Leon and attended Leon schools.
On August 6, 1928, she married David Robinson in Augusta, Kansas. David worked in the oil fields as a pumper, and the family moved around Kansas with his job. Florence always did this with an optimistic attitude. They settled in Eureka in 1947, where Florence took in laundry and ironing, something she took great pride in. She loved to crochet and work in her garden.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Evangelical Church of Leon.
Florence is survived by one son; Charles Robinson of Topeka, one daughter; Betty Mae Felter of Eureka, four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jerry, three brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services were at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 24, 2004, at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Ted Davis of the First Baptist Church of Longton, Kansas officiating.
A memorial has been established in her name to Kansas Hospice Care. Contributions may be sent in care of the Koup Family Funeral Home P. O. Box 595, Eureka, Kansas 67045, which was in charge of funeral arrangements.
