Filiberto Inocencio “Tito” Ojeda, of Eureka, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Via Christi – St. Francis Hospital, in Wichita at the age of 60.

He was born on December 28, 1952, in New York, NY, the son of Filiberto Ojeda and Blanca Serrano. He was raised mostly in Puerto Rico and Cuba. He graduated as a Pediatric Doctor of Medicine in Cuba, as well as earning a degree in Information Technology. After his schooling, he was an Emergency Room Director at Havana, Cuba Children’s Hospital. He moved to Eureka in 2000 and began working for the Greenwood County Hospital shortly thereafter.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his son, Justo M. Ojeda of Orlando, Florida; daughter, Tamaire “Tammy” Ojeda of Eureka; mother, Blanca Serrano of Puerto Rico; five grandchildren; two brothers, Edgardo Ojeda of Puerto Rico; and Wilberto Ojeda of Puerto Rico; and one sister, Iris Ojeda of Puerto Rico.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church with Interim Pastor Nancy Mitchell, PMA and Pastor Roger Dennis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Tito Ojeda Funeral Fund. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
