Maurine Stuber of Eureka, Kansas died on February 29, 2008 at Greenwood County Hospital at the age of 84.
She was born on February 1, 1924 in Eureka, Kansas the daughter of Pete and Eva (Stilwell) Broddle. She was raised on a farm near Climax. She attended local schools graduating from Climax High School.
In 1941 she married Dale Stuber in El Dorado, Kansas. They lived on farm near Climax. Where there started raising a family in 1942. She was a farm wife and mother of three sons. She was an avid quilt maker and has given quilts to visitors from countries around the world.
She is survived by husband Dale of the home; two sons, Don Stuber of Oswatomie, Kansas and Dr. Allan Stuber of Lawrence, Kansas; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; brother Warren Broddle of Wichita, Kansas and sister Mardell Hon of Neodesha, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lyle Stuber; and one brother.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 3, 2008 at Koup Family Funeral Home. Cremation has been effected. Private family inurnment at a later date.
