Elizabeth Pearl Durham, of Eureka, Kansas died at her residence on August 23, 2004, at the age of 70.

She was born in Vallejo, California on October 25, 1933, the daughter of William and Pearl Meredith (Searcy) Brown. She was raised in Vallejo and attended school there. After her schooling she started her own landscaping business called “Betty’s Landscaping.” Betty lived in the Napa Valley of California before moving to Eureka in 2002, to be closer to her daughter.

In 1950, she united in marriage to Larry McFall in Calistoga, California, this marriage ended in divorce. She later married Lewis L. Durham.

Betty was a member of the First Church of God of Eureka, the Native Daughters of the Golden West, and the Civil Air Patrol.

She is survived by three sons, Lawrence McFall, Timothy McFall of Bailey, Colorado and Richard Davis of Cobb Mountain, California; four daughters, Mary Ann McFall of Southern California, Lori Liberini of Modesto, California, Laura Watts of Gridley, Kansas, and Lizanne Wells of Lower Lake, California; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Irma. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 28, 2004, at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka, with Pastor Don Stice of the First Church of God officiating.
