Doris Loretta Robey
March 17, 1934 — December 18, 2018
Doris Loretta Robey of Eureka, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka, at the age of 84.
She was born on March 17, 1934 in Camden, New Jersey, the daughter of Walter Francis and Myrtle Bell (Simonson) Wilkinson. She was raised in Trenton and attended local schools, meeting William Henry Robey. On September 4, 1952, Doris was united in marriage to William in Camden. They made their home in Hopewell, New Jersey. To this union, seven children were born. In the early 70’s the family moved to Kansas, settling in Wichita. William preceded her in death on October 16, 1973.
Doris was a homemaker and baptized in the Baptist church.
She is survived by four children, William Walter Robey of Wichita; Myrt Rosemarie Sturdivant of Wichita; Loretta Louise Lasiter of Eureka; and Nancy Sharyn Ledesma of Eureka; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Donald William Robey; John Hall Robey; and Gerald Richard Robey; one grandson, William Eugene Britton; and one great-grandson, Dallas Holt.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the New Life Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Shirley Fisher officiating. Cremation has been effected. A private family inurnment preceded at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
