Henrietta Fechter, of Eureka, died Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Greenwood County Hospital, in Eureka, at the age of 73.
She was born on January 28, 1934, in Eureka, the daughter of Dick and Dicie (Martin) Chambers. She was raised in rural Greenwood County, attending and graduating from Hamilton schools. After her schooling, she worked for the City Drug in Eureka. On June 1, 1960, Henrietta was united in marriage to Aaron Fechter in Eureka. They made their home in rural Greenwood County, near Hamilton.
Henrietta was a homemaker, in addition to helping Aaron farm and ranch. She was a member of the Willow Valley EHU, and a 4-H Leader.
She is survived by her husband, Aaron of the home; one son, Richard and wife, Julia Fechter of Howard; one daughter, Jayne and husband, Eugene Schaefer of Richmond; and grandchildren Aaron, Sara, Tammi, and Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka, with Pastor Mark Demas of the Hamilton United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Janesville Cemetery, in Hamilton.
