Coleen K. (Haney) Buettner
Coleen Kay (Haney) Buettner of Eureka, died on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the age of 65.
She was born on December 15, 1947, in Eureka, the daughter of Carl W. and Imogene V. (Johnson) Haney. She was raised in Madison and graduated from Madison High School with the class of 1966. After graduation, she enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from San Diego, California. She was honorably discharged in 1969.
Coleen was united in marriage to Tony Jackson, and to this union, a son, Kelly was born. This marriage later ended in divorce. Coleen was united in marriage to Edward Buettner, and to this union, a daughter, Leslie was born. This marriage later ended in divorce. She lived in various locations across the United States before settling back home in Eureka.
She is survived by one son, Kelly Jackson; one daughter, Leslie Seiter of Virgil; three grandchildren; step-mother, Margaret Haney; nine siblings, Lee Haney of San Diego, California; Arlene DeWitt of Madison; Diane Barb of Bazine; Darlene Haas of Madison; Trish Haney of Eureka; Ross McIlvain of Madison; Lon McIlvain of Alabama; Kathy Brown of Eureka; and Joyce Sallee of Oak Grove, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Ross McIlvain; and one brother, Gale Haney.
Memorials services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka with Mr. Jayme A. Koup officiating. Inurnment will follow at Number 8 Cemetery near Madison, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Eureka Public Library. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
