Clifford Milton Brown, of Eureka, Kansas died on Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at the age of 41.
He was born in El Dorado, Kansas on August 20, 1961, the son of L. D. and Patty Sue (Poe) Brown. Clifford was raised in El Dorado and graduated from El Dorado High School with the class of 1979. After his graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country during peacetime.
In 1984 he was united in marriage to Melinda Paddock in Moline, Kansas. They made their home in the San Antonio, Texas area where Clifford worked as an aircraft mechanic for Lear-Zigler Aircraft Company on Randolph AFB. After fifteen years with the company, he transferred to Boeing Aircraft on Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. On February 1, 2003 he moved to rural Eureka.
Clifford was a member of the Nazarene Church of El Dorado.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda, and his son and daughter, Derek and Lindsey Brown all of Cushing, Oklahoma, parents, Patty and Stephen Wright and L. D. and Carolyn Brown all of Eureka, three brothers and their wives, Michael and Tracy Brown of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Larry and Theresa Brown of Rose Hill, Kansas, and Kris and Colleen Callier of Haysville, Kansas, three sisters and one brother-in-law, Stacey and Scott MacMurray of Wichita, Kansas, Janet Brown of El Dorado, Kansas and Lutrecia Callier of Chanute, Kansas, grandmothers, Anna Brown of Moline, Kansas and Nellie Whisler of El Dorado, Kansas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2003, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 A.M., March 3, 2003 at Janesville Cemetery at Hamilton, Kansas, with Reverend Leon Wise of the Hamilton Baptist Church officiating.
