Charles Darrel Miller of Eureka, died on February 6, 2005, at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas at the age of 70.

He was born on May 9, 1934, in Hays, Kansas, the son of Judd and Ina (Leavell) Miller. He was raised in Allen, Kansas, graduating from Allen High School. After high school, Darrel attended College of Emporia for two years. He went to work for Meadow Gold Dairy in Eureka, as a route salesperson. He later transferred to Wichita and continued working for Meadow Gold Dairy until he retired. After retirement, he moved back to Eureka, working at Thriftway until 1998.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Allen, Kansas.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Miller of Eureka; Jeremy Miller of Mulvane; one daughter, Vikki Hegwald of Humboldt; sister, Gayle Samuels of Eureka; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka, with Pastor Alan Hunter officiating.

A memorial has been established in his name with the Greenwood County Hospital. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045.
