Cathy Arlene Chastain of Eureka, died on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at her home in Eureka, at the age of 68.
She was born on January 9, 1954, in Eureka, the daughter of Arlie Eugene and Marguriet Joice (Call) Chastain. She was raised in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School with the Class of 1972. She worked as a CNA, first at Medicalodge then Eureka Nursing Center, for nearly thirty years.
She will be remembered as a caring, loving person. Her family, and especially her grandsons, were her life. She loved helping people, which led her to become a CNA. She enjoyed collecting antiques, and especially loved Christmas, birthdays, and Elvis.
She is survived by her children, Bradley Chastain of Eureka; Brigitte and husband, John Sickles of Eureka; and Brandon Chastain of Eureka; three grandsons: Cameron Claytor of Derby, Cody Claytor of Eureka, and Jerry Claytor of Eureka; and one brother, Cliff Chastain of El Dorado. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Clinton Chastain, and Calvin Chastain.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation has been effected. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Koup Family Funeral Home, PO Box 595, Eureka KS 67045 for expenses. Condolences may be left for the family online, at koupfunerals.com.
