Carol Frances (Brazil) Stutz of Hartford, died April 19, 2011 at Newman Regional Medical in Emporia at the age of 81.
She was born on February 8, 1930, in Eureka, where she resided her entire life before moving to Hartford in 1999. There she resided at the Hartford Nursing home and was employed by the Hetlinger Development Services.
Carol was known by everyone as a friendly outgoing person. She remembered everyone she met and their names. Carol liked to go to Bingo, work on puzzles, eat out and loved liver and onions. Carol was a religious person; a lifelong member of the Catholic Church; and always told people that she was a good Catholic girl.
She is survived by her sister, Dolores (Brazil) Braden of Overland Park; her cousin, Paul Burk of Eureka; many half sisters, cousins, and nieces, and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Wrayen Stutz; and parents, Joseph & Irma Brazil.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Koup Family Funeral Home with Father Steve Gronert of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Inurnment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
