Blake D. “Thelbert” Stapleford
Blake Douglas Stapleford of Fall River, died on Thursday, July 28, 2016, near Toronto, at the age of 11.
He was born on June 18, 2005, in El Dorado, the son of Douglas Scott and Stormy Dawn (Thompson) Stapleford. He was raised in the Severy and Fall River area and attended Lincoln Elementary School in Fredonia, completing 4th grade in 2016. Blake loved sports, especially baseball, and he was an avid fan of K-State.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Stormy and Jason Miser of Emporia; father and step-mother, Douglas and Sonya Stapleford of Fall River; siblings, Adrianna Stapleford, Caitlynn Stapleford, Waylon Smith, Lylly Stapleford, Chelsea Smith, and Cinch Stapleford; paternal grandparents, Raymond & Irene Stapleford of Severy; Billy Ecton and Susie Buffalow of Fall River; and Teresa Morgan of Fredonia; maternal grandparents, Mike & Deanna Choens of Beaumont; paternal great-grandparents, Jack & Donna Suter of Wichita; and maternal great-grandmother, Marilyn Thompson of Howard.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Severy United Methodist Church, in Severy with Mr. Mike Myers of Lincoln Elementary School officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka. Visitation hours are set from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
