Beverly Carolyn Graves, of Eureka died on August 29, 2008 at Greenwood County Hospital at the age of 79.
She was born on September 25, 1928 in Mullinville, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and Thelma (Barrick) Sprout. She was raised in Mullinville until the eight grade when the family moved to Greensburg. She graduated from Greensburg High School then went to Colorado Women’s College getting her associates degree.
On May 29, 1948 she was united in marriage to Forest Graves in Denver, Colorado. Beverly then went to work for the Colorado Service Company doing general clerical work. She then moved to Pratt before moving to Sedan running the family jewelry store. In 1966 the family moved to Eureka where Beverly worked as a Pharmaceutical Clerk before retiring in 1989. She was also a secretary for the First United Methodist Church.
Beverly was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Forest; son Steve Graves of Hutchinson, Kansas and daughter, Cynthia Brubaker of Eureka, Kansas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, Eureka. Inurnment will be at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg, Kansas.
