Beulah “Darlene” (Hines) Watts of Olpe, died on Monday, April 11, 2011 at her residence at the age of 75.

She was born on August 14, 1935 in Clearwater, the daughter of James Ervin and Bessie Lucile (Price) Hines. When she was young the family moved to Yates Center where she attended local schools. Darlene later earned her Certified Nursing Assistant degree and worked in various nursing homes in Elk and Cowley counties. She had to retire after sustaining an injury on the job.

On April 21, 1953 she married Walter Watts this marriage later ended in divorce.

She is survived by five sons, Jesse Watts of Hamilton; Quentin Watts of Eureka; Alvin Watts of Olpe; Gregg Watts of Gridley; and Robert Watts of Madison; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carl Hines of Yates Center; Gary Hines of Olathe; and Jimmy Hines of Anchorage, Alaska; and one sister, Mable Beehe of Dodge City. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, two sisters, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 15, 2011 at Koup Family Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Hunter of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Virgil Cemetery, Virgil, Kansas.
