Anita L. Wilson
Anita Louise Wilson of Eureka, died on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka at the age of 72.
She was born on November 15, 1939, in McPherson, the daughter of Merrell and Fern (Mason) Mumford. She was raised in Greenwood County and attended local schools. In November 1957, Anita was united in marriage to Randall French. This marriage later ended in divorce.
She worked in several nursing homes and at the Greenwood County Hospital as a CNA. In September 1975, Anita was united in marriage to Glen Wilson in Eureka. He preceded her in death in 2001. She retired in 2001.
She is survived by one son, Mike French of Eureka; two step-daughters, Maudie Altis of Vassar; and Zelda Benson of Grany, Missouri; three step-sons, David Wilson of Zion, Illinois; Glenn Wilson of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Ivan Wilson; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Thompson of Loveland, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Jeffrey, one brother, and one sister.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 23, 2012 at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka with Pastor Larry Moore of the Eureka Community Church officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Vintage Park Activity Fund, the Eureka Community Church, or the Greenwood County Historical Society. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
