Alma Lee Schlotterbeck
Alma Lee Schlotterbeck of Toronto, died on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita, at the age of 83.
She was born on January 9, 1930, in Quincy, the daughter of Arthur Marion and Anna Mariom (Crouch) Watts. She was raised in the Quincy area and attended #9 school. On June 5, 1947, Alma was united in marriage to Charles Chesley “Todd” Schlotterbeck. They made their home in Quincy and later moved to Towanda. They settled in the Toronto area in 1965. Todd preceded her in death on February 8, 1987.
Alma was a member of the Toronto Christian Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Toronto. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by: daughter, Claudia Ruth Jeanneret and husband Ray of Derby; daughter, Rodena Lynn Holland of Andover; son, Everett Leon Schlotterbeck of Buffalo; daughter, Gayla Lea Cox of Sedan; and son, Andy Douglas and wife Patty Schlotterbeck of Gridley; and daughter-in-law Sheila Schlotterbeck of Wichita; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and eight siblings: sister, Faye Johnson of Eureka; sister, Dolly June Ashlock of Eureka; brother, John Watts of Oklahoma; sister, Nell Johnson of Severy; sister, Betty Jo Ann Ashlock of Virgil; sister, Anna Mae Hare of Coyville; sister, Sharon Hellman of Eureka; and brother, Arthur Ray of Virgil.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ivan “Joe” Schlotterbeck; sons-in-law, John Cox, and Jim Holland; daughter-in-law, Cindy Schlotterbeck; three brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 2, 2013 at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka, with Pastor Larry Evans of the Neal Evangelical Free Church officiating. Interment will follow at Neal Cemetery. Visitation hours are from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home.
