Daniel Lee Damron of Eureka, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his home in Eureka at the age of 52.

He was born in Fredonia, Kansas, the son of Ronnie Melvin and Twyla Lorea (Watts) Damron. Daniel spent his formative years in the Virgil\Quincy community, attending schools in Madison and Hamilton before completing his education by earning a GED. Known for his adventurous spirit and independent nature, Daniel supported himself through a variety of self-employed endeavors. His unique experiences included the unconventional path of bounty hunting. In his later years, he found purpose and fulfillment in providing care for the elderly until health challenges necessitated his retirement.

Daniel is survived by his significant other, Carolyn Connolly of the home; and his aunts: Troy Shaw and Tonya Kellett, both of Pittsburg, Kansas; Amanda Watts of Hamilton, Kansas; and Pam Firman of Eureka; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jason Damron.

Cremation has been effected. A memorial celebration with be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Virgil Fellowship Hall in Virgil, KS..
